This Kitchen was part of a house transformation from a 1978 Ranch to an Arts and Crafts/Bungalow style with a touch of modernism.  There was a wall separating the Kitchen from a Sun Room.  Most of it was taken out with a concealed header installed.  The result is an updated and enlarged Kitchen, Keeping Room, an enlarged Dining Room, a 6’ x 8’ bar counter and a Mud Room.  The total square footage of 770 is a great space for an active family to congregate or entertain.  This Kitchen was showcased in Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine, December 2006 – “Amazing Makeovers”.  It also won the NARI (National Association of Remodeler’s) Contractor of the Year in 2006 for Kitchen Remodels from 60K – 100K.

 

 

 

The couple entertains and feeds family at all major holidays. They wanted kitchen that can do the job. Her desire was to have a country theme. The appliances are top of the line and the cabinets have all the features that come with cabinets. we bumped out four feet at the window and opened the rooms up between the kitchen and dining room. To get the pantry they needed we demoed below the staircase and custom fit the cabinets to conform. Their is even a bar. The nook and window over the farm sink were changed to add more natural light.

 

 

 

The appliances were outdated and the Kitchen need a makeover. We installed a commercial range and hood along with matching appliances, reconfigured cabinets then fauxed the cabinets, stripped the wall paper, painted, replaced the sink/faucet, refinished the wood floors and did the back splash.
